Individualized reading instruction using the Orton-Gillingham method: a structured literacy approach based on the Science of Reading. Incorporates multisensory techniques in which students make progress towards mastering the skills of decoding, encoding, comprehension, and fluency. Emphasizes phonological and morphological awareness, as well as vocabulary development and grammar.
Adapting elements of the Orton-Gillingham approach in a small group setting. Ideal for reading intervention and enrichment in educational settings, such as summer camps, childcare centers, and homeschool pods.
Scheduling is flexible! As both an educator and a parent, I understand that schedules can change. My goal is to make tutoring as convenient and stress-free as possible for your family. No cancellation fees here! I currently offer weekday daytime, afternoon, and evening appointments, as well as limited weekend availability.
Because I believe high-quality tutoring should be accessible to families across a range of income levels, I offer a sliding scale based on household income. Families are invited to choose the rate that best reflects their current financial situation. This system is based on trust and self-selection, so no documentation is required. I simply ask families to choose the tier that feels manageable and appropriate for them.
In-person tutoring is available in the convenience of your home or local library. Virtual and hybrid options are available, as well.
